Reported Offense Narrative:
University Police received a report of a burglary on November 21, 2022 at 1:33 a.m. The reported burglary occurred between 1:10 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. on November 20, 2022, in the Penn Building. The Penn Building is located in the downtown section of campus, adjacent to 12th Avenue and 15th Street. Two suspects entered the unoccupied and secured building, removing items from their regularly held locations and causing damage to University property.

  • Take valuables with you if you leave your office, residence hall or apartment for an extended period of time or buy a safe or trunk to securely store your valuables.
  • Keep doors and windows locked. Report inoperable locks and latches to the appropriate maintenance personnel.

It is the duty of the administration to warn of possible 'dangerous conditions' on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an 'affirmative duty' exists to warn persons associated with the University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.
