Sex Offense - Known
University Police received a report of a sexual assault at 3:05 p.m. on September 26, 2025. The reported assault occurred between 12:00 a.m. on August 22, 2025 and 3:05 p.m. on September 26, 2025 at a Residence Hall room in the Altoona Residence Halls complex. The Residence Halls complex is in the northern part of campus, adjacent to Gwin Road. The complainant, a student, reported that a known perpetrator entered a room and inappropriately touched another student.
The incident reportedly occurred in a residence hall room located in the Altoona Residence Hall complex. The Residence Hall complex is located in the northern portion of campus, adjacent to Gwin Road.

- Perpetrators are responsible for sexual assaults. Perpetrators take advantage of vulnerability and seek opportunities to commit sexual assaults.
- Sexual Assault is a second degree felony in the state of PA. Sentencing can include up to 10 years in prison, fines, and psychiatric treatment.
- Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help.
It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the University community. It is the duty of the administration to warn of possible 'dangerous conditions' on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an 'affirmative duty' exists to warn persons associated with the University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.
