Sex Offense - Known
University Police received a report of a sexual assault at 11:49 p.m. on July 19, 2022. The reported assault occurred between 11:00 p.m. on July 8th and 2:30 a.m. on July 9th, 2022, in the East Halls Housing complex. The East Halls Housing complex is in the northeastern portion of campus, adjacent to Curtin Road and Bigler Road. The witness reported they observed the suspect, a student, inappropriately touch an unconscious female.
The incident reportedly occurred in a residence hall room located in the East Halls Housing complex. The East Halls Housing complex is located in the north eastern portion of campus, adjacent to the Curtin Road and Bigler Road.

- Sexual Assault is a second degree felony in the state of PA. Sentencing can include up to 10 years in prison, fines, and psychiatric treatment.
- Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help.
- Perpetrators are responsible for sexual assaults. Perpetrators take advantage of vulnerability and seek opportunities to commit sexual assaults.
- Get verbal consent from your partner, and don't assume you know what the other person wants.
It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the University community. It is the duty of the administration to warn of possible 'dangerous conditions' on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an 'affirmative duty' exists to warn persons associated with the University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.
