Sex Offense - Known
University Police received a report of a sexual assault at 2:01 p.m. on March 16, 2023. The reported assault occurred between 1:00 a.m. and 2:01 p.m. on March 16, 2023, in a Residence Hall located in the West Residence Halls complex. The West Residence Halls complex is in the northwestern portion of campus, adjacent to Burrows Road and Curtin Road. The victim, a student, reported that an known perpetrator sexually assaulted them.
The incident reportedly occurred in a residence hall room located in the West Residence Hall complex. The West Residence Halls is in the northwestern portion of campus, adjacent to Burrows Road and Curtin Road.

- Sexual Assault is a second degree felony in the state of PA. Sentencing can include up to 10 years in prison, fines, and psychiatric treatment.
- Perpetrators are responsible for sexual assaults. Perpetrators take advantage of vulnerability and seek opportunities to commit sexual assaults.
- Listen to your partner. If you are getting unclear messages, stop.
It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the University community. It is the duty of the administration to warn of possible 'dangerous conditions' on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an 'affirmative duty' exists to warn persons associated with the University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.
